Maya studied Design (4 years) and Art (another 4 years) at Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. After achieving her two bachelor degrees (in interior design and painting), she continued her studies of painting (2 more years) at Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria.

Her passion is drawing, painting and photography and any combination of these. By experimenting with classic methods and new technologies she develops her own techniques and recognisable style.

History of Europe, exotic beauty of New Zealand, her second home for many years, and majestic scale of Canada have always influenced her works. She held numerous exhibitions and her works can be found in collections on all continents (except Antarctica). She lives and creates in Toronto, Ontario.
