Sue Archibald graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Guelph in 1980, specializing in painting, drawing and printmaking.  Her studies continued with Grant McEwen School of Design in Alberta, The Toronto School of Art, Haliburton School of Fine Arts, and an ongoing association with The Etobicoke Art Group.

Sue’s main focus has been painting in acrylics and oils.  Her interest lies in exploring landscape in a way that reflects what is seen either in the mind’s eye or in nature, but finds most pleasure in being cognizant of paint application and how it is manipulated around the subjects.

Sue exhibits her work in Southern Ontario through solo and joint exhibitions and juried shows.  She is currently being represented by the Upper Gallery in Toronto.  Awards of recognition, Jurors awards and Best in Show have been won in many exhibitions.  Her work has been accepted in selected shows, including ongoing juried exhibitions with The Etobicoke Art Group, Colour and Form Society, Neilson Park Creative Centre, Art Gallery of Mississauga, Lakeshore Arts – Through the Eyes of the Artist, and The Credit Village Outdoor Art Show.

Sue continues to show and sell her paintings.  Her works can be found in both national & international private collections (Canada, U.S.A., and the U.K.).
